The trip includes paddling along miles of perfect white sand beach, collecting seashells and watching the sun set into a dazzling ocean. They motorized escort boat that carries our full kitchen and all your supplies. Dive operators from resorts along the way provide dive gear and tanks to experience the remote Astrolabe Reef.

Charter a yacht, sunfish or hobie-cat. Many of the resorts will include use of sailboats as part of the package.

Romantic Experiences (Escapes, Honeymoons and Weddings)

Whether you want to just walk hand-in-hand on a deserted beach, cherish a sunset, honeymoon in paradise or even get married by a Fijian ceremony, Fiji has it all. Spa & Massage

Growing in popularity is the addition of spa health facilities with treatments including deep-tissue massage and aroma-therapy. These are all natural, totally relaxing experiences in a surrounding favored by warm tropical breezes and the sounds of birds in your ears. Some resorts are even offering hot-tubs right on your front decks overlooking the beach. Beqa Lagoon Resort has plunge pools in the secluded bure gardens. Koro Sun Resort has a full spa next to a babbling brook. We also found relaxing massage at Cousteau Fiji Island, Matangi and Maravu Plantation resorts.

Village Tours & Crafts

Whether it is Kava bowls with local music at your resort or tours to local villages, the warm and friendly Fijian are there to welcome and sing to you. Most resorts offer traditional village tours. After several of these including Ono Island, Savusavu and Taveuni, the best we have been able to find is on the island of Gau, but only available as part of the Fiji Aggressor II's program. Viti Levu also has several opportunities to visit traditional villages including Navala Village in the Nausouri Highlands.

Many of the villages offer for sale Fijian handycrafts at very reasonable prices. Sigatoka is noted for its craft shops, street vendors, open markets and inexpensive food. The resorts also offer handycrafts but may be the most expensive although their collections may be more extensive. An example of this is the Garden Island Resort gift shop on Taveuni.

The best shopping is in Suva and Nadi where you will find shops such as Jack's Emporium with wide selections of clothes and crafts. Resort boutiques tend to have very limited selections. Last minute purchases at Nadi airport duty-free store tends to be expensive but has a good selection (at least of the typical tourist items).
